West Ham backup goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel is considering his future at the London club following the signing of England shot-stopper Joe Hart, according to Marca.

The 30-year old told the Spanish publication: “I am not happy at the moment as I am not having the chances that I deserve on the pitch.” With a World Cup coming up next summer the Spaniard will need to string together some consistent game time if he is to stand any chance of being selected for his national team.

This season marks Adrian’s fifth campaign at West Ham and the keeper has been a faithful servant for the London club. However this summer saw the arrival of England international Joe Hart on a season-long loan and Adrian immediately slipped down the pecking order. The Spaniard has only featured twice for the Hammers this season and both of those appearances came in the league cup with Hart dominating the Premier League minutes.

Although Hart’s time at West Ham is likely only temporary Adrian needs game time immediately in order to force his way into the Spain squad. It remains to be seen what offers are on the table for the shot stopper in January but there should be an abundance of clubs willing to offer Adrian a way out of his Hammers nightmare.
